October Group Exhibition

Awita New York Studio invites artists to submit work for IN BETWEEN, a group exhibition exploring the spaces, moments, and experiences that exist between one state and another.

Between beginnings and endings.
Between reality and nightmare.
Between comfort and fear.
Between the familiar and the uncanny.
Between who we were and who we are becoming.

IN BETWEEN explores transition, transformation, duality, liminality, uncertainty, fear, horror, anxiety, dreams, nightmares, the uncanny, and the unknown.

We are interested in the space where opposites meet—where something can feel both beautiful and unsettling, familiar and strange, safe and threatening, real and imagined.

Artists are invited to interpret the theme freely. Work may approach fear and horror literally or metaphorically, through the psychological, emotional, social, personal, or surreal.

We welcome paintings, sculpture, photography, mixed media, installation, digital work, textiles, drawing, and other contemporary practices.
